Arizon Structures FAQ

In News by admin

Q: How much does it cost to purchase a brand new air supported structure?

A: Generally speaking, a brand new air supported structure system (including fabric, liner, cables, anchorage, lights, doors and HVAC) will cost between $10 and $15 per square foot, conservatively.

Arizon custom-designs its buildings, so we always leave it to our professional sales managers to estimate projects on a case-by-case basis. We strive to work with our clients to provide a structurally-sound building that embodies their unique vision and is designed for their specific application.

Q: What is the maximum size that Arizon provides for its air structures?

A: What size do you need? Air supported structures are such a flexible product by design, so we can engineer structures that are virtually unlimited, lengthwise. Arizon typically provides structures as small as 5,000 sq. ft. and can structures that are several hundred thousand square feet large.

Q: Can an air structure serve as a greenhouse?

A: Yes and no. Arizon can provide an enclosure to contain a self-serving greenhouse (ie. Artificial growing lamps, etc. are arranged inside the structure to grow plants and other types of agricultural products), but the fabric used for our air structures is UV-resistant, so the dome itself cannot be used as a greenhouse with the intent of relying on sunlight from outside of the dome.

Q: Can I use a dome temporarily or seasonally?

A: Absolutely! Arizon can even install/dismantle your building for you.

Q: What if an air dome is punctured?

A: Domes may be punctured, but they will not immediately collapse. The internal pressure will adjust to compensate for the air loss until the hole can be repaired on site.

Q: Can I heat and air condition my dome?

A: Yes. Arizon manufactures and services its own mechanical equipment for its facilities, which can be designed to provide heating and/or cooling. Clients in extreme climates, like deserts or seasonally frigid areas, are advised to insulate their facilities. Arizon provides several insulation options for our clients’ consideration.

Q: What is the lead time for an air supported structure?

A: Generally it takes 12-14 weeks from the date that our clients approve Arizon’s submittal documents and design drawings to manufacture an air supported structure. Depending on the dome’s design and the site conditions, domes can be fully installed and operational in just a few days.

Q: Do you sell domes internationally?

A: Definitely. We have sold domes all around the world- from Abu Dhabi, to Russia to the United Kingdom.

Q: Can you insure a dome?

A: Yes. Arizon’s sales team can connect you with associates who are experienced dome insurers.

Q: What happens if it snows? Will my dome cave in?

A: No. Arizon takes climate & precipitation into serious consideration when designing and estimating its structures. We will make sure that your dome is equipped with the necessary components and systems to prevent the dome’s structural integrity from being compromised during storms.
