Solution:
Arizon designed three domes that fit seamlessly over Sportime’s existing outdoor tennis courts at Randall’s Island.
The domes feature translucent fabric and high-efficiency mechanical equipment.
Divider netting between courts provide uninterrupted play.
Result:
With additional year-round capabilities made possible by the seasonal installation of Arizon’s dome, former world champion tennis star John McEnroe selected Sportime’s complex at Randall’s Island as the site of his tennis academy.
The facility, which now brings in revenue for Sportime year-round, won ‘Indoor Tennis Facility of the Year’ from the American Sports Builders Association in 2010, and Arizon was named the official tennis dome supplier for the NY Sportimes World Team Tennis organization.
